The Story Behind Sonklip

More Than Just a Name
Sonklip Aesthetics is more than just a name, it is a part of my story.
The name Sonklip was created from two very personal pieces of my life. ‘Son’ comes from the beginning of my name, Sonja, while ‘Klip’ comes from Klipkuil, my dad’s farm in the Free State, where I grew up and which I still visit every month.
My dad is one of the most important people in my life, and Klipkuil has always been a very special place to me. It represents my roots, my childhood, my family and so many memories that I hold close to my heart.
Bringing these two together created Sonklip, a name that represents who I am, where I come from, and the people and places that shaped me.
What Growing Up On a Farm Taught Me
Growing up on a farm taught me values that have stayed with me throughout my life, hard work, authenticity, perseverance and, most importantly, appreciating the beauty in the things that are real and unique.

My Approach to Skin Care
When I started Sonklip Aesthetics, I wanted to create more than just a place where people come for treatments. I wanted to create a space where results, personalised care and genuine connection come first.
My approach to aesthetics is centred around enhancing and restoring the skin rather than simply covering up imperfections. Every person’s skin is different, and I believe the best results come from understanding the skin, treating its underlying concerns and giving it the right care, both in the treatment room and at home.
Today, I’m proud to bring that same care to clients across Moreleta Park and the greater Pretoria East area.
